What Will Your First Words Be?

Imagine you just had an idea for a business! Imagine you had never thought of anything like it before! Now, get serious with yourself as this is going to be a point in your life you will look back at in the future!

There is nothing more soothing than succeeding at your own business, be it the first time you have learnt to take steps when you are a kid, or having the successful life you have always dreamed about. That perfect moment of full satisfaction you have with yourself and believe me when I tell you that it is not that farfetched let alone out of your reach.

You might, in a second’s thought, argue why I would so confidently tell you this. You will find millions of stories online and I won’t waste your time with that sort of a blog post. I am here to simply offer a perspective.

In a world of competition of high standards, it might seem illogical to start a new business, or even think of a new thing that no one has ever thought about or stumbled upon. It’s scary to be this lost and I agree that your idea won’t see the light at all, well, definitely. Oh, OK, let’s delete the word “definitely” from that sentence. Viola, you are ready to give your idea a chance.

Coming Up With The Idea

After you come up with an idea that you think can change your life, or possibly other peoples’, you must ask yourself a few questions before you get serious about it. To do so, I’ll have to ask that you, once again, take to work your powers of imagination. Imagine you have started a business right on the idea that you had a while back and now. Imagine that you are standing behind a podium. It’s the first time you are going to be talking to the public about your idea.

What will your first words be? Everyone is eager to know about your words. There is one thing I am sure of about this; and it’s the fact that you must be proud of those first words. You shouldn’t be afraid and/or ashamed of your creation.

Yes, it’s a creation whether you are following your dream to start a completely different business on a completely different idea or just starting a competition against others in a business that has thousands of companies doing the same thing you are doing.

What Will Your First Words Be?

Let’s get back to what I meant by being afraid of saying about yourself! And we are there at the podium.

Which one of the following people are you going to be? An entrepreneur who thinks their idea is not good enough to shout out about to the public: If you are of this type, you would probably start a business, run it under the radar. You’d be happy with the small business you are running. You won’t make a fuss about the things you are doing.

This is because you are already happy and not probably proud of the way you are conducting the business. Do not take me wrong. I am not talking about running a shady business. I’m just referring to who you would present your work/idea/self to people.

Please remember that we are still imagining that first speech. There is a second type of person you can be at that podium. You are standing there, with sweaty palms. Everyone is eager to hear you. And the first thing you think of, isn’t whether or not you are going to fail. You, like your audience, are eager to get the word out. These are the moments your marketing strategy should form.

Be proud and loving towards your idea. You don’t deserve a normal life when you can think bigger and have a thriving business.

When Does Your Marketing Start?

As you are deciding whether you are going to get on with your idea, you are going to have to think about many things. First thing to consider is with whom you are going to be involved. Who is your target audience? This is one of the first words that you must utter when starting your business. It also is considered under the scope of marketing. Your marketing doesn’t start when already you have something to sell.

When starting a business, think of the words. Think of what that audience needs. Are you going to meet any of their needs? Are you going to resolve a problem of theirs? How are you going to change how they are feeling about something? When you choose your audience, it will be much simpler to talk to them.

When Does Branding Come In?

When you have the words, it comes down to the voice you are going to use to get them out. Branding entails anything from the clothes you will be wearing to the specific words you will use to convey your idea(s). It’s the mission and the vision. It’s the values you are going to define along the way.

The Final Words

When you realize the need to do something useful for yourself and for others, the first step is to truly know and care for what you intend to do. When you love your idea, you can be sure that you will find a way to make it happen beautifully. Success will follow when you have done everything in your power to get those words of yours out properly. All these will happen so fast in a world where competition is so breath-taking and you WILL make it.
